About Mike Keys

In 2016, voters placed their trust and confidence in me by electing me to serve as one of the four trustees on the Clinton Township Board. I remain grateful for this, and I take my responsibilities seriously and wanted to give you an update on some of my activities.

A public corruption scandal rocked Clinton Township and other Macomb County communities just before I took office.

I have focused on what I believe to be key to restoring public confidence in Township government: a strong ethics policy and increased transparency.

Rather than just hoping scandals never happen in our Township halls again, we should take definite action that reforms, strengthens and improves the way we do business.

I am committed to creating a culture of honest, responsive government. Township residents deserve effective, efficient government services; you can be assured that I will keep working to see to it that your tax dollars are spent properly and in your best interest.

Pressing for openness and change isn’t always easy, but I am convinced it is the right thing to do. I am committed to fighting for what is right.
